Cook
Cooks are members of the Food Service department, a team of people all working together to contribute to the one of the most visible components of LSM. Priding ourselves on top-tier quality service, cooks provide meals that revitalize and refresh guests throughout the duration of their stay. As ministers of hospitality, LSM Cooks provide a welcoming atmosphere and a spot for guests to relax between meetings to enjoy a hot meal and get to know each other better during their stay.
This job requires a basic understanding of cooking skills and terminology. Experience working in or around professional kitchens is helpful, but not necessary. Work is part time with a highly flexible schedule. To learn more about this job and how to apply please review our full job description.
Retreat Facilitator
A Retreat Facilitator is a contract staff position of the La Salle Manor Retreat Team, who reports to the President and Retreat Team Leader and works alongside a fulltime staff of Retreat Coordinators. Retreat Facilitators are scheduled to work as few as 1 retreat per year, and up to 20+ depending on availability and skills. Retreats range from half-day to three full days, and cover topics ranging from a young person’s relationship with God, seeing God in their everyday life, learning about God’s love for all, team building, leadership skills, and more. By leading games and ice-breakers, delivering personal witness talks, guiding small group discussions, and building relationships with students on retreat, the Retreat Facilitator has a critical role in the success of the retreat program of La Salle Manor. Retreat programs also develop young peoples’ personal identity awareness, relationships with peers, and confidence in themselves. Retreats often take place at La Salle Manor in our rustic log cabin lodge, but the Retreat Team is also available to provide individual and group services to schools for retreats off-site as well.
