President
La Salle Manor is seeking applications to fill the position of President/Executive Director.
The President must be a dynamic leader who will focus on preserving the values, culture and
Lasallian charism, while leading the Manor to grow and advance.
The President promotes the mission of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and manifests an inspiring vision and message.
In addition to commitment to the mission, priorities for the President include:
- Serve as the foundational leader of La Salle Manor
- Build a Lasallian community through living and working at La Salle Manor
- Manage operation of the facilities and scheduling and coordination of groups utilizing the manor
- Prepare and oversee an annual budget to address day-to-day and long-term operations
- Procure goods and services to meet long and short-term needs
- Recruit, manage and supervise La Salle Manor staff including retreat staff, cooks, and administration
- Attend to upkeep and maintenance of the buildings and grounds
- Maintain open communication with and report to the Midwest District Christian Brothers and the La Salle Manor Board of Directors
- Engage in active development and fundraising efforts

Retreat Coordinator
A Retreat Coordinator is a member of the La Salle Manor Retreat Team, who along with their supervisor, the Vice President and Retreat Director, plan and execute roughly 50 retreats annually. Retreats range from half-day to three full days, and cover topics ranging from a young person’s relationship with God, seeing God in their everyday life, learning about God’s love for all, team building, leadership skills, and more. Retreat programs also develop young peoples’ personal identity awareness, relationships with peers, and confidence in themselves.
By leading games and ice-breakers, delivering personal witness talks, guiding small group discussions, and building relationships with students on retreat, the Retreat Coordinator has a critical role in the success of the retreat program of La Salle Manor. Retreats often take place at La Salle Manor in our rustic log cabin lodge, but the Retreat Team is also available to provide individual and group services to schools for retreats off-site as well.
In addition to their work on retreat, Retreat Coordinators have collateral assignments at La Salle Manor assisting with other areas of the business. Collateral assignments are decided by the President and Retreat Director and take into account the interests and skills of Retreat Coordinators. Example collateral assignments are in digital media (social media, blogs, newsletter, etc.), maintenance and housekeeping, marketing and business, other experiences can be designed as well.

Cook
Cooks are members of the Food Service department, a team of 5 people all working together to contribute to the one of the most visible components of LSM. Priding ourselves on top-tier quality service, Cooks provide meals that revitalize and refresh guests throughout the duration of their stay. We provide a welcoming atmosphere and a spot for guests to relax between meetings to enjoy a hot meal and get to know each other better during their stay.
This job requires a basic understanding of cooking skills and terminology. Experience working in or around professional kitchens is helpful, but not necessary. We are seeking 1-2 individuals to work part time. To learn more about this job and how to apply please review our full job description.
Retreat Facilitator
A Retreat Facilitator is a contract staff position of the La Salle Manor Retreat Team, who reports to the Vice President and Retreat Director and works alongside a fulltime staff of Retreat Coordinators. Retreat Facilitators are scheduled to work as few as 1 retreat per year, and up to 20+ depending on availability and skills. Retreats range from half-day to three full days, and cover topics ranging from a young person’s relationship with God, seeing God in their everyday life, learning about God’s love for all, team building, leadership skills, and more. Retreat programs also develop young peoples’ personal identity awareness, relationships with peers, and confidence in themselves.
